5Absolutely love this Suspension
By Dave McGhee
The Progressive 465 with RAP in my 2009 KLR 650 made the difference between liking my bike and loving it. I took a 1400 mile 7 day trip last May with a full load of camping gear and after returning home ordered this setup. Changing out the spring was pretty simple with the help of a Clymer manual and some patience. Had some difficulty fitting the rap where the instructions said to put it as I have a set of pannier racks on my KLR. It went on pretty easy though. Set the sag adjustment, dialed it down a bit more, loaded up the bike for a 9 day 2200 mile trip with full gear and off I went. the difference was night and day. no more sag issues, headlights were pointed at the road instead of up in the eyes of oncoming vehicles. It took the bums and dips great. Made the bike handle a lot better with the load. It was easy to adjust for some off road riding without a load and then adjust back for full load in a few seconds. I do have to be off the bike to adjust the set tings though. No big deal. Yep you could pay bigger bucks for a nicer setup, but why, this on works great.
